NORM REVO™ Technology Overview

Our technology uses special working solutions to clean and deactivate treated materials. The technology consists of two phases

    NORM REVO™ ARWS technology

    The first stage of the cleaning process in which paraffins, asphalts and other deposits are removed from surfaces. It also cleans corrosion and passivates the surface of the material.

    NORM REVO™ NORM technology

    The second phase, which aims at 100% deactivation of surfaces contaminated with NORM radionuclides such as radium, barium or K40. The liquid non-radioactive component of ARWS can be 100% separated from the active NORM waste during the working cycle, making it more advanced than any other cleaning technology in the world.

NORM REVO™ technology has a number of uses, including:

  • Cleaning and deactivation of industrial equipment designed for the extraction, transport, processing and storage of crude oil, petroleum gases and uranium.
  • Routine maintenance of production pipelines and surface mining equipment.
  • Routine maintenance of transport pipelines and all other mining equipment.

NORM REVO™ technology is based on cleaning solutions with a unique composition:

  • No physical, chemical or visual damage to the treated material - no chemical reaction between the material and the working solutions.
  • The working solution is processed in a continuous process to remove active waste and return the working solution to the cleaning process.
  • Working solutions are continuously filtered and regenerated.
  • Produced residual waste is separated with a high degree of volume reduction. It can be disposed of in designated storage facilities according to its hazard level.
  • Cleaning process is completed by surface passivation as a natural property of the deactivation solution.

NORM REVO™ technology offers important advantages compared to other methods used so far:

  • ARWS waste generated by NORM REVO™ technology is in the form of oil-asphalt sediments that can be added to industrial fuels for heating.
  • NORM waste generated by NORM REVO™ is in the form of solutions and sediments of heavy metals (typically Ra226 and 228) with significantly reduced volume.
  • NORM waste can be disposed of by the client in accordance with the country's standards and legislation in relation to radioactive waste.
  • Alternatively, NORM waste can be injected back underground from where it originated.
